It is the fascination of contrasts that make Lake Powell so special and is impressively reflected in Dieter Wilczek's photos: On the one hand, the monumental Glen Canyon dam, which stands in the way of the Colorado River and a huge lake artificially dammed up. On the other side, the unique, millennia-old landscape - made of reddish-brown Navajo sandstone, white Entrada sandstone and other colorful sedimentary rocks that have visually captured the lake. The visual “icing on the cake” are the typical houseboats of the leisure captains, who fully enjoy this unique scenery and special atmosphere and lighting on Lake Powell at any time of the year.
