The Kourtaliotiko Gorge is a mountain gorge in southern Crete. The bottom of the gorge is formed by the stream bed of the Megalopotamos or also known as Kourtaliotis, one of the ten small rivers that constantly carry water all the way to the sea. Near the Nikolaos Chapel, the stream carries a lot of water all year round and offers breathtaking views with its cascades.
