A motif from Michael Brückmann's "American Vintage Car Corvette" calendar: The first Corvette was introduced at the beginning of 1953 and was built for nine years until August 1962. This sports car was quite small for its time and the USA. The lightweight body made of glass fiber reinforced plastic has been retained to this day and serves, among other things, to save weight. In the almost ten years of its construction, the car was revised several times and received increasingly larger engines. The model only became really successful with a V8 engine.
