Use colored Post-Its to create your monthly notes.

THAT'S HOW IT WORKS:
Get Post-Its pads - colored or neutral white and place them next to the calendar with a pen.

TIP: use different colors for different areas: yellow for appointments, blue for to-dos, and pink post-its for errands or personal reminders. Or different sizes for short and long texts... The possibilities are varied. Not every note is only valid for one month? No problem - just transfer the note to the next monthly sheet - so nothing important is lost.
