A motif from the calendar "Proboscis Monkeys of Borneo" by Arne Wunsch: Living in Southeast Asia for over 20 years, I was able to photograph many rare animal species. An unforgettable encounter with wild animals was certainly with the endemic and unfortunately critically endangered proboscis monkeys in Borneo. Their most striking feature is the large, pear-shaped nose that only males have. The male with the biggest nose is preferred by the females.
