Scots all play the bagpipes, are stingy and have bad weather all the time. On my trip through Scotland I had to quickly sink these prejudices into Loch Ness. First I got to know the Scottish Highlands intensively on the "West Highland Way", the famous long-distance hiking trail between Glasgow and Fort William, over 150 km of hiking route. Gentle hills, wide valleys and mysterious lochs (lakes) characterized the landscape. Nature and the lighting atmospheres presented themselves differently every day. Pure enjoyment of nature, despite blisters on your feet.
After the hike, I enjoyed the magnificent beauty of the Isle of Skye and the sea-shaped west coast of northern Scotland. It was overwhelming how the changing lighting moods constantly changed the landscape. I kept sitting down and marveling. Until the mosquitoes attacked
