With currently around 85,000 inhabitants, the small town of Konstanz is the largest city on Lake Constance. It is also one of the largest southern cities in Germany.
The council building built in 1388 (in 1417 the conclave to elect Pope Martin V took place in this spacious building), the 78 meter high cathedral, two Rhine bridges, the nine meter high Imperia statue at the harbor, the Sea Night Festival, one of the largest and The most spectacular fireworks displays in Europe and the beautiful historic old town are just some of the sights that Konstanz offers.
