You can find them sometimes hidden on the outskirts of the villages, sometimes ignored in the middle of the town: old Jewish cemeteries. The oldest among them date back to the 17th century. Many of them were desecrated and their gravestones destroyed during the Nazi dictatorship. Today they tell of past Jewish life and stand as a memorial against hatred and contempt for humanity.
