An unforgettable experience to meet the last free-living orangutans in the Gunung Leuser National Park. After a good hour from Bukit Lawang, you pass the entrance to the national park. Since most of the adult orangutans have been released into the wild, they are not particularly afraid of people. However, the fact that we finally met a mother with a baby right in front of us on the way was very unusual! Probably the last place in the world where you can still see them in the wild, fantastic & unforgettable.
