Niederblockland and Oberblockland, on the dike they meander along the Wümme, which forms the border with Lower Saxony. A unique natural spectacle, romantic and tender, attracts tourists in droves on sunny days. Cyclists and inline skaters especially love the route, and kayakers and canoeists can be found on the water. Nature and numerous animals can be easily observed here, at any time of the year and day. Large nature reserves lie in the blocky land criss-crossed by ditches, as do old farms and inviting restaurants. And far in the distance you can just barely glimpse the bustling life of the big city.
