The small town of Ladenburg was founded by the Romans over 2000 years ago. It has an almost completely preserved old town with many beautiful historic half-timbered houses. The market square with the Marienbrunnen and the view of the two towers of St. Gallus is particularly worth seeing. Ladenburg also gained importance as the summer residence of the bishops of Worms.
