The longest tram line in Europe runs 69 kilometers along the Belgian North Sea coast - and has been doing so for 125 years.
The first section of the route was opened on July 5, 1885. The Kusttram - Kust is Flemish for coast - runs from Knokke in the east on the Dutch border to De Panne in the west on the border with France. It is the longest tram line in Europe that you can take without changing.
