Kirn, located at the intersection of important old trade routes (Keltenweg, Soonwaldsteig), where the Hahnenbach flows into the Nahe, at the foot of the Lützelsoon, developed industries such as grain mills, tanneries, leather processing, breweries and today manufacturing thanks to this location and the existing hydropower of plastic semi-finished products. The title wants to express this range of products - from leather to beer.
The early influence of noble families such as the Wild and Rhine Counts and the Counts of Sponheim still has an impact today. The best witness to this is the Kyrburg built on the Kyrberg.
Incidentally, the legendary Johannes Bückler, known as Schinderhannes, also comes from this area.
This calendar attempts - with professional photos - to give an insight into the diverse, colorful architecture of this city, which claims its importance as a center for business, transport and administration on the middle Nahe.
