The Munich Way of St. James takes the pilgrim from Marienplatz past the Isar to Schäftlarn Monastery and further via Starnberger and Ammersee across the Allgäu to Lake Constance. (monthly calendar, 14 pages)

Munich has served as a stopover for pilgrims on the long journey to Santiago de Compostela since the Middle Ages. The route from Marienplatz to Lindau can be easily covered on foot in 12 daily stages. The path leads through breathtaking landscapes in front of the Allgäu Alpine chain and crosses important churches and monasteries.
