Prague, called the city of a hundred towers, has preserved magnificent sights from all centuries. Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The cityscape is dominated by Hradcany, a castle district located high above the Vltava. Below Hradcany lies the charming Mála Stran (Lesser Town) with its medieval character, numerous Baroque and Renaissance palaces as well as squares and gardens. The Charles Bridge connects the left bank of the Vltava with the old town, which has a winding network of streets and alleys. The center of this district is the Old Town Square with the Old Town Hall, Apostle Clock and the Jan Hus Monument.
