The fascination of Namibia goes back to the untouched nature together with a unique animal world. The Namib Desert with its seemingly endless expanse shapes the country and presents its inhabitants with new challenges every day. Despite the hostile conditions, both the "Big Five" and the "Little Five" and numerous plant species managed to adapt and develop their very own survival strategies.

The almost 5,000 kilometer journey through Namibia took the photographers first through the Kalahari to the Quiver Tree Forest and further south to the Fish River Canyon on the border with South Africa. The red dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei in the Namib Naukluft Park offer a spectacular sight and are the highlight of any trip to Namibia. After a detour to the “most German city in Africa” in the middle of the desert – Swakopmund – the route led over the beautifully weathered Spitzkoppe to the Etosha National Park in the north of the country, where untouched wilderness and unforgettable safari experiences await visitors.
