The original Hinterwälder cow breed created the beautiful meadows and open highlands as well as the famous centuries-old willow beech trees. Today, herds of suckler cows and the last dairy cows of the smallest and most beautiful cattle breed preserve the unique biotopes in the Southern Black Forest Nature Park and the Northern Black Forest National Park. The journalist and cow expert Stefanie Goldscheider visited the animals and took pictures.
