With a size of 44 hectares, the Père-Lachaise cemetery is the largest cemetery in Paris and, with more than 3 million visitors per year, the most visited cemetery in France. Today, 4,000 trees create a park atmosphere that is not only used by Parisians as a recreational area.

The final resting place of “The Doors” singer Jim Morrison is not just a highlight on the calendar. It is one of the most famous graves in the cemetery. In addition to Morrison, the calendar enriches the final resting places of numerous other celebrities, including Oscar Wilde, France Clidat, Edith Piaf and many more.

On the Père-Lachaise there are no regulations regarding the design of the gravesites and so you can find gravestones of every style, whether Gothic-inspired, reminiscent of the turn of the century style or mausoleums based on ancient models.

Special features in the calendar are various statues made of stone, bronze or marble.
