This is not the only reason why the course of the river has gained a seemingly incomparable literary significance worldwide. Poets and thinkers have immortalized the river in enduring poetry. With Tübingen, Stuttgart, Marbach and Heidelberg, the oldest universities in the world can be found here and a settlement history going back thousands of years still shapes the image of the Neckar Valley today. Against this background, photographer Jürgen Wackenhut took the photos for this calendar. With wonderful expression, he gives respect to history and preserves the poetic character of this unique natural and cultural heritage in the Neckar Valley in his expressive images.
