The Bodeguero Andaluz is a Spanish terrier from Andalusia. He now finds lovers all over Spain and Europe, because what distinguishes the dogs from many other terrier breeds is their gentle nature, their calmness and balance. Its name comes from the Spanish word “bodega” (= wine cellar). There used to be a lot of rats and mice in the cellars that the bodegueros (=winemakers) had to take care of. The Spanish word for rat is "rata" and this is where the name that is sometimes used for bodegueros in Spain comes from: "Ratonero" = rat catcher. The Bodeguero is an extremely adaptable dog, highly motivated, friendly and with a good portion of hunting instinct, but when the Bodeguero has let off steam, he is a lovely cuddly toy in the house and can sleep away for hours during the day. The dogs are very social because they are usually not kept as individual animals in Spain, but live freely on a farm with many other dogs and farm animals. His balance and adaptability make him an ideal family dog ​​that nothing upsets.
