Shortly after the end of the war in 1948, the Willys-Overland company tried to gain a foothold in the American automobile market with a mixture of jeeps and cars. But the Jeepster didn't arrive. Less than 20,000 vehicles were sold in three years. Today the Jeepster is a rarity on wheels. Some examples are used as taxis in Cuba.
