There are over a thousand fjords in Norway. They look like large lakes, but they are extensions of the sea. The deepest of the Norwegian fjords is the Sognefjord at 1308 meters. Its towering mountains on both sides and the surrounding, wildly romantic landscape amaze us.
The fjords of Western Norway have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 2005.
