The water flow of the impressive Niagara Falls is reduced to about half of the normal flow during the day and to about a quarter of the normal flow at night. The amount of water saved is used to generate electricity via a weir. This makes it possible for the waterfalls to be turned on in the morning at the push of a button. Goat Island, located on top of the falls, divides the falls into two parts, the American Falls, which lie on American territory, and the Horseshoe Fall, through which the Canada-US border runs. For this calendar, the photo artist Peter Roder has compiled and designed twelve beautiful photos, a delight for every fan of impressive waterfalls, a companion for the whole year.
