American Miniature Horses, also known as miniature horses, originated in America. In Germany they are registered as an independent breed in the Rhenish Horse Stud Book. Here they are called: (American Miniature Horse / American Miniature Horse)

Miniature horses can be very different. Although smaller, but with everything else that the big ones have, you can find elegant warm-blooded horses, Arabians, full-tempered thoroughbreds, quarter horse types and mini cold-blooded horses.
